Selecting Chemotherapy Drugs for Testing

 

Drug panels are personally assigned for each patient by Dr. Weisenthal.  Specific drug requests by the physician are always given first priority.  In addition, Dr. Weisenthal also takes into account the patient’s diagnosis, previous treatment history, and other clinical factors which are provided to him.  Clinicians are invited to discuss drug choices with Dr. Weisenthal in advance of testing.  The number of drugs which we are able to test is limited in some cases by the size and condition of the specimen we receive.
